Does MOGO save
my company money?
Each company’s circumstances are different. If you have
employees driving company vehicles in all likelihood the
answer is YES. Sometimes employees are guilty of
overstating the amount of time it takes to get from one
place to another, some take extended breaks, some let
the vehicle idle for extended periods of time wasting
gas, some speed, and some use company vehicles for
personal reasons or moonlighting, Eliminating the cost
of misuse of a company vehicle and wasted or lost time
often pays for MOGO in the first month. Here are some
questions you may want to ask yourself. Am I paying
overtime due to excessive travel time? Do some employees
seem to get more done in a day than others? Do some
employees turn in time sheets for less time than they
were actually out on the road? Will my insurance company
give me a discount for installing a MOGO in each of my
vehicles? Would I save money in time and gas if I
allowed my drivers to take the vehicles home and go
directly to their first stop. Without coming to the
office first, but in the past was afraid they would
moonlight or use the vehicle for personal use? Have I
lost business because I didn’t know who was closest to a
client in need of service? Have I ever had an employee
tell me they couldn’t make all of the stops on their
schedule and didn’t quite believe them? The ultimate
question may be, if you could ride with each of your
drivers would their performance and respect of your
vehicle improve? MOGO gives you peace of mind as well as
control of your vehicle. MOGO is the answer.
What can
I do with the data collected?
The choice is yours; it’s your data. If you like you
could save the data on your own computer and keep it
indefinitely or just work with the 90-day history MOGO
maintains. Some companies choose to save certain data in
employee files when disciplinary action is needed. No
longer do you have to wonder how your vehicles are
driven. MOGO puts you in control.
Do I have to sign a contract for cellular service?
No. MOGO has contracts that provide all you need. With
MOGO there are no long-term contracts and no additional
fees. You only pay for what you want.

virtually undetectable. Drivers use the vehicle with no
noise or notice from the MOGO unit.

shouldn’t?
Yes. MOGO with Tracking comes with a built-in feature
called Geo-Fencing. This enables you to set boundaries
where your vehicle is permitted to travel. Should a
driver leave the area you prescribe, MOGO lets you know
by sending a text message to your text enabled cell
phone, PDA, or if you prefer, send you an email.
Geo-fencing is another MOGO feature that keeps you in
control of your vehicle.
I am told that sometimes thieves steal vehicles by
putting them on flatbed trailers or towing them. How can
MOGO help me if this happens?
MOGO utilizes the latest technology to solve this
ever-increasing problem. If you have purchased MOGO with
tracking your unit is always active on our system and
therefore if moved either under power, flatbed or tow it
will still report its movement so you will know where it
traveled. Some owners are desirous of increased security
create a Geo-Fence around their home or parking lot so
they are notified immediately if the vehicle has left
the area. Other owners have the unit notify them every
time the vehicle is started or turned off. As you can
see MOGO with Tracking provides a true level of
security, comfort, and control. If you have purchased
The MOGO Theft Recovery unit we will activate your unit
upon notification of your vehicle being stolen. From
that point on the Global Emergency division of our
24/7/365 Call Center will engage in what we call “Theft
Recovery Mode? to track and locate your vehicle. You
will be notified within minutes of our locating your
vehicle. If you have purchased MOGO with Locate you are
able to track and locate your vehicle immediately though
the MOGO website.
Why should I install a MOGO tracking device over a
portable unit like a cell phone?
Portable units such a personal trackers or locators are
valuable tools. However, when it comes to vehicle
tracking and true control we believe the best solution
is the installation of MOGO with Tracking. Portable
units have the obvious problem of being able to be
turned off or losing battery power. It is important to
note that when GPS tracking is installed on a cell phone
the battery power is reduced by approximately 50%. The
MOGO with Tracking unit is hard-wired into your vehicle
covertly hidden and is not accessible to the driver is
always powered by the vehicle. An attempt to overcome
the functionality of a MOGO unit is easily detectible
thereby enabling you to discipline a driver in the means
you feel appropriate. Please remember a hard-wired MOGO
unit installed in a vehicle enables you to have a real
time report card for each driver.
What is GPS
Vehicle Tracking?
In the late 60s the US Department of Defense began the
development of the GPS system. The first satellite was
launched on 22 February 1978 and in 1989 a revived
launch program costing the US government over 6.2
billion dollars for 29 Navistar satellites began. On 2
May 2000 the U.S. government by presidential directive
enabled civilian GPS receivers to accomplish 10 meter
accuracy resulting in a virtual explosion in the
marketplace of in-vehicle GPS navigation and vehicle
tracking. Vehicle Tracking Systems are electronic
devices installed in vehicles to enable vehicle owners
to track the location of a vehicle. Most modern vehicle
tracking systems now use GPS modules to allow for easy
and accurate location of the vehicle. Many systems also
combine a communications component such as cellular or
satellite transmitters to communicate the vehicle’s
location to a remote user. Vehicle information can be
viewed on electronic maps via the Internet or
specialized software.
How does MOGO work?
Each MOGO unit has a GPS receiver installed which
receives satellite signals and then calculates this
information and determines very accurately where your
vehicle is located. MOGO then takes this information and
transmits it over a specially designed data cellular
connection from your vehicle to the MOGO Data Center
where the information is decoded, translated and
presented to you both in historical reports and on
digital street level maps all in a matter of seconds.
Is MOGO affiliated with the police or reliant upon the
police?
No. MOGO is a privately held corporation. Unlike some
theft recovery devices MOGO has no reliance on any
police department anywhere in the world. MOGO utilizes
government satellites for information purposes only.
MOGO, through our own theft recovery system, will then
locate your vehicle. Upon locating your vehicle we will
provide this information to you. Please remember theft
of a vehicle is a crime typically performed by
individuals you most likely would not enjoy spending
time with. MOGO strongly suggests your contacting the
local police department where the vehicle is located for
actual recovery. MOGO does not in anyway suggest or
recommend your attempting to recover your vehicle
personally. Upon request MOGO will contact the local
police department where the vehicle is located for
actual recovery.
Does MOGO charge for technical support or assistance?
No. MOGO is a customer driven company with a passion for
providing excellent service. We do not charge for or
limit technical support or assistance. We encourage you
to contact us should you ever encounter any difficulty
with our products or online systems.
What is the MOGO
warranty?
All MOGO products come with a 3-year limited warranty
against defects. The warranty is void if your MOGO
product was damaged in a vehicle accident or fire.
If I have more than one vehicle how will I be able to
identify them?
MOGO enables you to give each vehicle a unique
identification tag. You can use a number, license plate
number or a name. The choice is your and with MOGO it is
easy to identify the vehicle you are looking for and its
travel path or history.
How long does it take to have MOGO installed in my
vehicle or fleet of vehicles?
Individual MOGO units are typically installed within 48
hours of order placement and payment and require
installation time of approximately 45 minutes to an
hour. Fleet orders depend on the size of the fleet. MOGO
has a nationwide network of installers so installation
does not require each unit to be in the same location
for installation to occur. Smaller fleets of 100 or less
units also are typically installed within a couple days.
However, installation time for the fleet will most
likely take 2 to 3 days depending on vehicle location.
I am impressed with the MOGO product, how do I become an

the very best service available. We use only highly
skilled, qualified technicians and companies to perform

vehicle from may already be a MOGO deal and the process
may be simpler. You should also be aware that having

for your trade-in or from a private party if you are
selling your older vehicle yourself.
Are
there different types of GPS systems?
Yes. MOGO uses only the latest digital technology so you
can be confident you are purchasing a product that will
provide many years of quality service. MOGO is so
confident in our product we offer an unprecedented
optional lifetime warranty. Please ask you dealer for
more details or call our customer service department.
I have
insurance so why do I need MOGO?
Most people have their vehicle insured for theft.
However, many people owe more money for their vehicle
than they may receive from their insurance company.
Dealing with a total loss could become a financial
problem and the added inconvenience and expense of
renting a vehicle while the insurance company is waiting
to see if the police locate your vehicle could also
become a nightmare. Additionally, you take the risk of
having to deal with the possibility of your insurance
premiums going up or worse cancelled. With MOGO you have
the opportunity of getting your vehicle back before
significant damage is done. Please contact your
insurance provider as many insurance companies offer
discounts for having a theft recovery and deterrent
system installed. |
